The Serpent

Two serpents entwine on the Caduceus, the symbol used by doctors for health and knowledge. The serpent is a powerful symbol of both.

Perhaps it is time for you to work on both. Give up bad habits such as smoking, which damages your body. Learn something new that will bring new abundance into your life. If you about what to study or not know what to bring into your life, the serpent is there to guide you

Follow the Serpent's guidance and you will be abundant and happy. Even if what you receive is a message to rest, do so. Perhaps you are receiving this message because you are trying too hard. You are not “going with the flow.”

Soul Retrieval

Soul Retrieval is a fundamental role of the Shaman in a community and or tribe. Illness and sickness can often bet traced to a piece of the soul being missing, either stolen and scared away by events and occurrences.

During a Soul Retrieval ceremony, a shaman will journey into the spirit world to retrieve the missing soul fragment and bring it back and integrate it back into the person who is sick and heal them. If the soul fragment as stolen or taken away by an evil sprit, a struggle will ensue. The strength and wisdom of the shaman and his or her helping spirits will bring success, but sometimes failure if the spirit that took the soul fragment is too strong.

Look at your life and people and things that have hurt you. You may still hurt from an emotional wound that was inflicted some time ago and which you cannot let go of. Now is the time to move and give up dwelling on that loss, that hurt, that pain. Do battle with the feelings that still exist within you and defeat them. You cannot… you must not continue feeling hurt when those who hurt you have moved on with no regard for how you were left.

The Medicine Wheel

The four cardinal directions of North, South, West and East are clearly marked on the card. They are cardinal signs for the Shaman as well. Native peoples have known for untold millennia the roundness of the hoop shown in the card.

The hoop turns and brings healing and growth with it. To a person, an animal, or a community, healing and harmony appear as it moves. You may say it is The World card in Tarot. So the wheel turns and brings happiness and abundance, leaving behind unhappiness and lack of material and spiritual things.

The South represents the past, not just the past that has gone, but clinging unhealthily to the past.

The West is all about relationships and people that drain you and are toxic to you.

The North is about what is in your heart. Are you passionate about something and do you show it, do you pursue it, do you manifest it in your life, your being?

Finally, the East, this is about being aware and seeing your life the life like chapters in a book. Are you ready to turn the page and start a new chapter?

You can stay in any one part of the compass for as long as you want, days, months, years even. Delay too long in any one party of the compass and you will affect how your life manifests, how quickly, and the quality of life you create in the eastern direction.
