James is “Boanerges” or a Son of Thunder and he is often found in the thick of the discussions amongst the disciples about who would be greatest. He is also the ONLY apostle whose death is recorded in the Bible.

Our battles can come from without (up to and including martyrdom), or they can be more insidious and we have to fight personality traits (for James this seems to be a temper) or the desires within us (to be first perhaps?). What does James tell us about such things?
