AI Gets Sniderlickus

May 28, 2019

Sometimes the show before the show is just as entertaining as the show itself. That happened to be the case this week as I stumbled across multiple articles discussing how sex robots are "indistinguishable" from their human counterparts thanks to a 5G upgrade. We decided not to include this topic in the show because some of us (all of us) have a tendency to behave like twelve-year-olds. Of course, Collin had to then mention that his car's AI seems to have "a thing" for Tom whose first appearance on Stolendroids Podcast was so amazing that we decided to invite him back for an encore performance. Things devolved from there.Thankfully, we were able to get some serious conversations in about the Pandora's Box that may have been opened by redesigning Sonic the Hedgehog before the movie is released in November. Of course, such a move comes with repercussions so if you're barely able to contain your excitement to see the character hit the silver screen, you're going to have to wait a bit longer. And speaking of video game adaptations, there are rumors that a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic film is in the works. It's generally accepted that movies based on video games aren't very good, but I think it's a safe bet that this is one that Star Wars fans will see regardless. And since it's Star Wars, it probably won't be much of a disaster. Even Solo was a pleasant surprise. Enough so that some people are hoping for a sequel. In tech news, Google is both good and bad this week. So not much is different... They're making it easier for you to order food which is good since you need extra time to reset passwords that they stored in plain text. For fourteen years! Seriously. Fourteen. Years. Also, Samsung can't catch a break, but their phones can.Headlines:Geek News:Sonic’s theatrical release slowed until next yearFans take to Twitter asking for a Solo sequelKnights of the Old Republic getting a movieTech News:Google stored passwords in plain text for 14 yearsGoogle is making it easier to order foodBestBuy cancels Galaxy Fold preorders
