This is the story of one of Australias most corrupt police officers, yet hardly anyone remembers him.

Colin James Creed was born in Victoria in 1947.His whole family moved to Adelaide when Colin was just ten years old..In 1966. aged just 18, He joined the South Australian police force. He reportedly scored 133 on an IQ test and was Dux of his class.

REPUTATION

His reputation as a big spender preceded him as he well known to splurge cash on clothes and fancy restaurants,

In 1974, while stationed at the Hindmarsh police station.A woman at Creeds police station reported a rape. When the interviewing officer asked what her attacker looked like, she pointed straight at Creed. The questioning officer asked her if her rapist looked like Creed. She replied that it didn't look like Creed. It was Creed.

Creed, pulled aside, questioned and suspended temporarily. But he was back at work quickly. His excuse was that he had investigated a minor robbery at the ladies unit a few months earlier. The break-in remained unsolved. So the lady held a grudge against him.

Over the next few years, Creed climbed the police ladder until he became a fraud squad detective.

In 1979, A friendly and outgoing 20-year-old bank clerk named Anne Roberts had been out partying. She was with friends at` Jules Disco in Hindley Street.

She returned home and someone sexually assaulted her and bashed to death with a house brick at her Emerson Road, Black Forest home unit.

Detectives accused Creed of this crime, but the evidence seemed to prove him innocent of this. However, some people still believe him to be guilty.

On April 10 1980, Creed held up the Bank of South Australia at 143 Henley Beach Rd, Torrensville.

On April 21, he held up two banks in one day, One on Unley Rd and one at Henley Beach.

Then on May 5 1981, he held up a bank at Glenelg south. This time, CCTV footage captured the disguised robber, brandishing a police revolver. The man looked kind of like Creed, wearing a beanie and sunglasses.

They questioned Creed on may 21, 1981, put in the lineup for several hours. No one identified him, so so they release him

Creed didn't turn up for work the next day, Nor the next day. Police staked out creeds Aberfoyle Park home for over a week but could not find any sign of him.They soon put him on the most wanted list, with the starting price of $15,000 on his head,

Soon two more women came forward with rape allegations against CREED.So, now wanted for two rapes and four bank robberies.The authorities soon raised the price on Creeds head to $50,000

Creed had fled to Victoria and continued his bank robbery ways. Sometimes hooking up with known bank robber and Pentridge prison escapee Russell MAD DOG Cox.

Russel was also on the Most wanted list after breaking out of Pentridge prison. He was on the run for some time while keeping to his usua...
