Today we’re gonna talk about (and by “we” I mean you and me) referrals for business and schedule control. What?! How does that work? Well, here’s me talking about it…


Quick story about referrals for business gone bad…
A client of mine, she’s so sweet, told me about a referral she had given to someone who didn’t even acknowledge it. And actually that person ended up doing business with her referral. Made quite a bit of money, too. And never recognized her for that.
She wasn’t looking for any big gifts or a big party or anything. Although that would’ve been nice. (just kidding…no, wait, it actually would’ve been nice) But some sort of acknowledgement.
And that’s where the other person really dropped the ball. Because guess what? Now, she doesn’t wanna refer anybody else to him. And that’s a bummer for him. Because that was a really good source of income and business he didn’t have to work so hard to get.
All for a short acknowledgement.
But how does that bring me to what I wanted to talk to you about? Referrals for business and schedule control. If that guy had a process to acknowledge referrals, it wouldn’t have taken him all that much effort and time to just go ahead and do it.
So, the lesson today is…
ONE: How to process and acknowledge referrals and your referral source. And…
TWO: When you get that process down pat, even what you’ll say about getting a referral (in a card), you take the reins on your schedule control.
