So, I just had the opportunity…well, actually…it kinda happens every day. But I drive by…the new…restaurant coming in my “back yard.” And I’m so excited! In-n-Out! Yes! OK, am I giving it away? Yes, I’m a California native. And I DO love my In-n-Out burgers.

Now, In-n-Out is coming to where I live.
Right here in Colorado. And again…I’m so excited!
But why am I sharing this with you?

No. Really. Why am I sharing it? Because I’m goofy this way. And I’m driving by, and I’m thinking to myself, “There they are. Puttin’ the sign right where it goes. And puttin’ the palm trees right where they go. You know, I’ll bet they didn’t call up the owners and say,
”Hey, um…could you let us know…what we’re supposed to do here? And what we’re supposed to do there? Because you just keep it in your head, and we don’t know?”
NO!
They have plans for this stuff. Right? They do this over and over again. And they know what they’re doing. Actually the whole team does. Because it’s all planned out.
And that’s why they have such great customer service. The food is predictable. The service is predictable. Everything’s predictable. And what does predictable consistency get you?
Oh…OK, I’ll say it.
Repeat business! People sayin’, “Hey, you gotta go to this place. Because it’s fantastic. Right?
I mean, even the fast food places that don’t have maybe the best food. Because the food and service are predictable. Dependable. They have plans. And they know what they do.
Can you say the same thing? Can you?
Or is your whole business living in your head?
If it’s all in your brain…hmm…that’s a tough one.
Because businesses need to be their own entity. Not an extension of you. That’s a hobby.
