Season 3 Episode 15 – Nazrene Mannie. Executive Director of Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN) Global.

Nazrene is a South African national and a specialist in social policy focusing on youth employment and skills development.

In her work, she collaborates closely with organizations such as the Global Alliance for Youth, private sector companies, and international development entities such as the ILO, World Bank, UNESCO, and OECD to drive forward the agenda for agile Workforce Development within the context of the Future of Work.

Although many of these topics have been on many organizations' agendas for years, the COVID-19 pandemic brought them front and center to the collective consciousness, fostering dialogue and a stock-taking of where we stand and where we are heading. All this, in the minds of many individuals and their professional careers and work-life balance, as well as from a larger social and cultural perspective.

We touched upon many of these topics during our conversation, including automation, remote working, skill shortages, the future of universities, etc.

We could have talked for quite a bit longer since these are topics of great relevance. Nazrene discusses them so clearly and interestingly that the conversation flew by.
