Season 3 Episode 9 – Fernando Amescua. Founder and Board President of Grupo Inmobiliario KIVA, as well as Board President at Fundacion y Empresa Donari, Station 24 Fitness, Zulu Ventures and Deckora Mexico, amongst other things.

Fernando is an old friend, and I’ve known him for many years; and I had the great opportunity to reconnect with him, as well as other friends during my recent trip to Guadalajara.

I have known of his successes and wanted to have a conversation with him to hear firsthand about what planted the entrepreneurial seeds, the beginnings of Grupo KIVA, which continues to grow, as well as hearing more about his other ventures. But, of course, all successes have challenges, and Fernando talks about one of his most significant challenges after the global financial crisis in 2009. Although, at the time, it seemed impossible, he was able to recover, learn from it, and become more resilient while at the same time building a more vital organization.

I was happy to have this chance to talk to him, especially since he has a pretty busy schedule.
