Today, we have the honor of welcoming Sandra Lindsay, a trailblazer in the healthcare community. Sandra's remarkable journey began in Jamaica, and she immigrated to the United States in 1986 with dreams of becoming a nurse. Fast forward to December 2020, she made history as the first person in the U.S. to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Her experiences, from working minimum-wage jobs to leading critical care units during the pandemic, have shaped her into a passionate advocate for healthcare equity. Sandra's story is one of resilience, courage, and unwavering dedication to making a difference.
