Push Play: Young women’s stories of sport and real life
Growing up is hard to do
No matter where you are from in the world, adolescence can be tough. Sometimes, almost impossible. On this episode of Push Play we hear from three women, from very different backgrounds, countries and families. But each of them searched for some kind of belonging to get through the challenging time of adolescence. Marlene, from Germany, who moved around and searched for a common ground in sport. Solange, from Rwanda, who faced the death of her father at the young age of ten. And Winnie from Kenya, who sees football as a universal language to help connect communities. At a time when we can all feel isolated, today we explore the notion of sport as a powerful unifier to help us all belong.
