019 "Restorative activities" simultaneously enrich the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions of ourselves. I estimate that finding an activity that develops all four at the same time would help about 75% of my patients.
I have two points to make about PTSD "shortcuts":

* There is no shortcut to the outpouring of emotional energy that comes in the beginning of a healing journey.
* But there kind of is...

PTSD Restorative Activities
In today's episode, I explain how the multi-dimensional approach to exploring various restorative activities. The main benefit is feeling like your old self again. To get there completely, we're going to need help.
If you're like me and a lot of other people, it's easy to isolate and refuse to let others care for us. Let's take a lesson from one of my heroes...
Indiana Jones says it best

"It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage." Indian Jones, Raiders of the Lost Arc

While Mr. Jones is wounded and needs care, he can't express himself very well and tries to push her away. She has the caregiver's dilemma that every time she tries to help, she makes it worse. She even hurts him without knowing it which practically universal among PTSD caregivers. (hint: it's not the caregiver's fault)
