1. How would you describe your musical style? 

You know that feeling when you go to the dentist and right when you hear the drill turning on and then you decide, “Fuck this†and punch the dentist in the face and run out the door? Like that.

2. Who are your favorite DJs or biggest influences? 

Dillon Francis, Kill The Noise, Seven Lions, Skrillex

3. What’s the best show you have attended so far? 

A tie between Flux Pavilion B2B Doctor P @ Audiotistic 2011 & The Dillenger Escape Plan @ The Glasshouse 2010

4. Current favorite song? 

Aero Chord – Prime Time

5. What would you have on your fantasy rider?

- A mini version of River Phoenix

- A Jacuzzi full of pez

- Betty White in any Mortal Kombat outfit

- Tim Burton (circa The Rocky Horror Picture Show) as the bus driver

In one year, Mathew Phillips (AKA matphilly), has gone from a touring member in various Hardcore/Post-Hardcore/Pop Punk bands, to a noticeable and recognizable force in the Electronic Dance Music scene. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, matphilly burst on the scene from almost out of nowhere taking on every show in every city he could, while producing some originals and remixes in various genres such as Dubstep, Electro House, Drum & Bass, Moombahton, and Trap, and even getting to share the stage with the likes of Kill Paris, Whiskey Pete, Getter, Inspector Dubplate, and many more all on his own. In addition to producing and performing, he was also a radio host for Where’s The Drop Radio, a weekly internet radio show on Friday afternoons on KDHR.net before it went off the air. He has held DJ residencies for various clubs and venues in his short existence that have helped him to build a great following. His live show never disappoints as he puts on a performance that will keep you interested, moving, and wanting more. matphilly has no intentions of stopping as he plans on releasing more remixes and more original releases and continue to tour non stop. You have been warned; there is no stopping him now!
