What’s up everyone, we’ve got a monster episode lined up for you this week starting with a 30 minute mix filled with some of the hottest tracks out right now! We’ve got new music from Cedric Gervais, Autoerotique, and a remix of the Dillon Francis song, Without You, by Henry Fong. After that we’ve got a special guest mix from DJ Sprocket throwing down some heavy hitting bassy goodness.

DJ Sprocket has been mastering his skills behind the decks since the age of 14. He began by simply cutting and scratching his way through oldies records from second hand record stores and garage sales. DJ Sprocket’s live performances are upbeat, bass-heavy journeys through the many genres of EDM seasoned with sophisticated EQ work, intelligently programmed mixes and live scratching.

Five Questions with DJ Sprocket

1.  How would you describe your musical style?

My musical style has really changed since 2010. I was primarily focused on breaks. I followed my favorite producers as they moved from breaks to electro and later dubstep. These days I would describe my style as multi-genre bass music. I play a mix of Breaks, Electro, Dubstep, Future Garage, and Trap. I pay most attention to the energy levels of each track and try to make sure the mix makes sense as a whole piece start to finish.

2.  Who are your favorite DJs or biggest influences?

Some of my favorite DJs are Rico Tubbs, Proper Villains, Knuckle Children, Sane Beats, Tim Ismag, DAVIP, Nick Thayer, and Reid Speed. My biggest influences are the people in the scene in LA. I moved from Ohio in 2010 and have met some of the most committed producers, promoters, and DJs ever.

3.  Best show you’ve attended?

Shizzzam 3 in Detriot. I believe it was 2010. Big warehouse venue with Bad Boy Bill, Wolfgang Gartner, Christopher Lawrence, Craze, and Danny The Wildchild. They even got Ron Jeremy as a celebrity host. It was a crazy night!

4.  Number one song right now?

Rico Tubbs – The Return

I love all of what Rico Tubbs has been putting out lately. He’s been putting out Trap, Speed Garage, Moombahton, Electro House and its all FIRE.

5.  What would be on your fantasy rider?

  • Bucket of KFC
  • Sushi
  • Jalapeno Kettle Cooked Chips
  • Heath Blizzard
