Though written hundreds of years before Christ, Psalm 22 accurately recalls what Jesus went through on the cross. It describes His Passion, laying out in detail the events of the crucifixion. It also describes His Praise, describing the joy that Jesus looked forward to despite experiencing great suffering. Finally, the Psalm describes the Saviour's Posterity, pointing to us--the legacy of the Saviour's sacrifice.
