Moncton's Monster Trot brings trick-or-treating inside, raises money for free mental health services

October 25, 2021

Heading into its 9th year, Monster Trot is a fun fundraiser for Atlantic Wellness -- just look at how much fun the interview was! Jenna as Elton John, Tosh as a bubble gum machine, and AW's executive director, Andrew LeBlanc, as Waldo (as in, Where's Waldo?), surrounded by boxes of Halloween candy & chips!

Monster Trot is a series of trick-or-treating stations set up around the Moncton Coliseum (safely spaced for pandemic protocols) that children can visit on October 30, between noon & 3pm. Tickets should be purchased in advance via www.atlanticwellness.org; $10 per trick-or-treater -- parents can come for free! Kiddos will leave with a bag filled with treats & you'll leave knowing you've helped provide free mental health support to local youth.

Atlantic Wellness offers timely mental healthcare services to youth ages 12 to 21, in the Greater Moncton Area - for free. More than 350 youth & their families access the centre each year, which operates on grants, donations, and fundraisers such as Monster Trot.

Youth in need of services can call the clinic on Mondays between 8:30am & 2pm; 506-501-5504. You will be matched with a Counselling Therapist or Intern for a single session. From there, you will discuss ongoing counselling, as-needed counselling, and other options.

Take a listen to find out more about the event, the centre, and how we can all help youth in our area.
