Kristi Blakeway is a school principal in Vancouver, BC where she lives with her husband and two sons. She is the founder of Beyond HELLO - a student-run initiative that helps the homeless share their stories, in an effort to shift perceptions. Kristi and her students have helped over 700 people living on the streets reconnect with family through greeting cards, phone calls, and face-to-face reunions. Kristi is a TEDx Speaker, Olympic Torchbearer, and the winner of the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award for Connecting Community. Kristi encourages everyone to step outside their comfort zone, engage in soulful conversation, and connect with compassion.
