Jason Romano Spectrum Sports - Former ESPN Producer

There are so many around us who have lived a life with an alcoholic and abusive parent, or spouse.  Perhaps you have been the abuser, maybe you are still living a life of abuse.  Abuse does not have to be physical.  Sometimes the abuse is verbal.  A mean spirited lashing out.  But the truth is abuse can be in many forms and those who are being abused can fall into a victim mentality.  How do you move forward?  How do you heal?  The fact is the anger and the pain is real, and that's okay...but you cannot stay there forever.  If you want to get through it you have to Forgive to begin the process, yes I said process of forgiveness.  Yes, we must forgive if we truly want to live a free life from the pain.
