Keeping Athletes Connected Through Networking And Community | MFM 59 RADIO SHOW WSIC 105.9FM #37

September 20, 2020

It is necessary to keep Athletes connected through networking and community. I remember as a former college athlete at Wake Forest University, all I thought about was my sport. But what about life after sports? What’s next, are you prepared, connected, mentally fit to withstand the reality of not being in that locker room again, not being recognized as an all-star, not feeling connected to the ever-evolving community or network? That’s why I am super excited about today’s show because, I have teamed up with Players Beyond the Game, a non-profit organization, founded by an incredible visionary, my guy Juontonio Pickney. Players beyond the game have a mission is to further the dialogue, raise awareness and facilitate access to tangible resources to support the well being and mental health of former collegiate athletes beyond sports, and today we are kicking off the SHINE BRIGHT ATHLETE SERIES.

Shine Bright Athletes Guests

We have guests on the show who are connected to athletics in one way or another, they are leaders in their field that will be sharing their knowledge, resources, and expertise. We are just excited to create an opportunity to have conversations and discussions to support athletes in every area of their life making sure they have information, networks, and the resources necessary to be successful in life during and beyond sports.
