In this week’s EMS news items we’ll start off looking at a new federal initiative from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) through a cooperative agreement with the National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO)to come up with national EMS standards for systems.

Then in this week’s special tip segment from the Physio-Control podcast studio at EMS Today earlier this year we have Dr. Brent Myers talking about Wake County, North Carolina’s extended resuscitation efforts and the results they have with patient survival.
