In this lesson, we practice using the word “antecedentes” to explain Covid vaccination and monitoring in people with a history of allergic reaction. In the upcoming member lesson, we will practice vocabulary and phrases for describing an immediate allergic reaction in Spanish.

The primary purpose of these lessons is to practice useful Spanish vocabulary and phrases when discussing vaccination against Covid-19. When speaking with patients, you should always use information provided by current trusted medical sources.

• Both DEBE y DBERÍA mean “should.” DEBE conveys an obligation (i.e. “you must”), whereas DEBERÍA conveys a suggestion. But don’t sweat the difference because it is subtle.

If you have a history of an immediate allergic reaction to the vaccine or to any of the vaccine ingredients, you should not receive the vaccine.
