Recently, I’ve noticed that people are referencing children in a new way. Rather than simply calling them children or kids, people frequently use the terms littles or kiddos. When did this start? And, more importantly, why? Instead of shortening the word kids, which is already just four letters, we’ve turned a word that is either spelled with six or seven letters. And people can’t even agree on how to spell the word…
