Today’s Topics:

1) Fraternal Love: A love for our brothers, both those we know and those we don’t. John 13:34-35: A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one for another,

2) In the second segment, we are introduced to Sir Knight Victor Martinez, who is the Color Corps Commander for Mission San Gabriel Assembly #66, Fourth Degree Assembly. He describes to us the basics of the Honor Guard activities and then tells us about his early life,

3) The discussion continues with Victor, regarding the commitment of the Knights to provide support for the less fortunate particularly the widows. A description of how the Honor Guard serves at a funeral Mass is provided and several examples are given,

4) In the final segment, we discuss how the Knights provide support for our brothers, both known and unknown. From Saint Ambrose: Do not desert a friend in time of need, nor forsake him nor fail him, for friendship is the support of life. If friends in prosperity help friends, why do they not also in times of adversity offer their support? There is your brother, naked, crying, and you stand there confused over the choice of an attractive floor covering. It is a better thing to save souls for the Lord than to save treasures.
