Kappo and The Rev #73 “Natural Disasters”

“The Natural Disasters”
By Orlou Jenkins, KaTR® News Network

Sometime in the late 80’s or early 90’s a man went to a wrestling match and sat in the 13th row of a major metropolitan colosseum. He sat, overflowing in his seat as legendary rassler strongman Dino Bravo was pulling off a ‘feat of strength’ stunt by doing pushups with people sitting on his back. The crowd reacted lacklusterly, waiting for something interesting to happen.

Bravo’s manager Jimmy “The Mouth of the South” Heart called to the crowd, for the biggest, fattest, gastropod that could be belched out of this backwater West Virginia town. The camera panned to and fro and eventually a man was zoomed in upon so large, with nasty beard and chest hair bursting, a near 500 pound man made his way to the stage. This beast made his way to the stage while the WWE killed a few minute segment by pitting The Ultimate Warrior against Dino Bravo in a push up contest with this monster riding on their bulging backs.

As you could have expected it was all a ruse, and ‘The Earthquake’ was born by slamming down the Ultimate Warrior and supposedly dished out a considerable injury to the cult icon.

From there, the “Natural Disasters” tag-team of Earthquake and Typhoon went on to make a generation of husky boys think that they could play too. Even if you grew up to be bald with pot tits, eventually a WWE superstar would pluck you from the crowd.

We’re here to do you even better.

You’ve been plucked from the crowd by Kappo and The Rev.
