Joy Cook is an experienced professional in making and fostering relationships in the new paradigm.


This has placed her among top professionals in managing the cross-section between the traditional media and the online community. Affectionately titled “Ms. Twitter” by the front page of a popular publication, Joy has positioned herself as one of the nation’s top authorities on Twitter (@JoyCookPR) and stays a step ahead on what mediums will be next to make an impact.


She has almost 20 years of experience and education in public relations, publicity, and digital engagement. In some of her most recent business endeavors, she has ventured into productions as an Executive Producer. Her clients have been featured on international platforms and have made history as a direct impact of her strategies and knowledge of how to effectively communicate in a noisy world.

Joy has facilitated media training programs for elected officials and C-suite and executive-level professionals.


As a servant leader, she serves on numerous boards and commissions. In 2010, she founded Joy Cook Public Relations Group. She is the lead strategist, a two-time graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and is a Thread at Yale graduate. In 2013, Joy was named as one of the Business Journal’s “40 Leaders Under 40” Award Winners. She and JCPR Group have been recognized by a host of accolades over the past decade.
