Dr Mark Kirchhof speaks with JCMS Editor-in-chief Dr. Kirk Barber about his innovative proposal for the treatment of Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS). Clinicians typically follow a linear approach to the treatment of HS in which one modality is attempted before moving on to the next. Dr Kirchhoff's paper challenges this sequential approach to treating Hidradenitis Suppurativa and instead proposes a model that allows for HS to be measured in a more dynamic fashion and he offers a treatment algorithm that is centred on the patient's experience of the disease.
