A dialogue with Ashoka Fellow Betty Makoni, the Founder and CEO of the Girl Child Network Worldwide, an organization at the center of a global commitment to gathering, codifying, training and promoting the experiences and expertise of African girl advocates and marginalized girls. The Network supports and promotes girls’ rights, empowerment and education. It reaches out to and advances the circumstances of African girls who are economically deprived, at risk of abuse, subject to harmful cultural practices or living in areas of instability.
