ipt #20 Rob Forkan

July 26, 2013

In episode #20 of the infinite pie connection podcast, Alan Fawcett speaks with Rob Forkan.  Rob, with his brother Paul, came up with the idea of Gandy's Flip Flops 18 months ago and started it out of their bedroom.  This is the incredible and inspirational story of how they created the ethos of Orphans for Orphans, having lost their own parents in the Tsunami in 2004 whilst they were all travelling.  Starting with nothing, they are now stocked in some of the largest retailers in the UK and growing internationally.  By creating a brand that inspires a sense of community, including brand ambassadors, they are well on track to reach their target of building a children's home in India in 2014, the 10th anniversary of the Tsunami.  Listen in as Rob shares his approach to life and business based on his unique upbringing and the beliefs and principles instilled in him by his parents as he was growing up.

If you wish to connect with Rob and Paul and support Gandy's get over to the Gandysflipflops.com website and/or follow them on twitter @Gandysflipflops.

Let's make sure that we get behind this and share this story.

In fact I have asked the guys over at Gandys for a pair of flip flops to give away and they have even said that Rob and Paul will sign them for you.

So keep an eye out for details of the competition coming soon.  In the meantime make sure you sign up on the website www.infinitepie.co.uk, like us on Facebook and follow infinite pie and Alan Fawcett on twitter so you make sure you know how to be in with a chance of winning.
