A Conversation With Jonathan Levi

June 19, 2016

In the episode I talk with Jonathan Levi. He is the author most recently of Septimania, his first novel since 1992's critically acclaimed A Guide for the Perplexed. It is a major work―a story at once personal and mythic, with themes as large as the universe and as small as an appleseed. Levi divides his time between New York and Italy, where he has been a Resident at the Bellagio Center and a Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome. and writes on arts and travel for The International New York Times and Condé Nast Traveler. He is Co-Director of the Gabriel García Márquez Fellowship in Cultural Journalism in Cartagena, Colombia and serves as Artistic Advisor for the Zaubersee Festival in Luzern, Switzerland.
