DAY 13 Uncaping, Unmasking, Unhiding | You Don't Have to Be Anyone's Ride or Die

October 16, 2021

Have you been or are you now someone's ride or die? In today's episode of Uncaping, Unmasking, and Unhiding, Shirl and Natty give you a peek inside at what being the ride or die has looked like in their lives from a romantic and parental point of view...

...because just in case you're wondering, you can be a ride or die to your parents as well. As a matter of fact, you can be a ride or die to anyone in your life, and you don't have to settle for toxicity in your life just because "that's still your dad" or "that's still your mom, or your sister, or your brother, or even your child". Yes, they're "still your parents", but they're also still the persons who did that thing to you.

Being a ride or die is about fighting to prove your love, your trust, your worth to someone who probably don't deserve it. The bottom line is, you shouldn't be fighting to prove your love or worth to anyone, including your parents.

Click play and get into this goodness that is today's episode and when you're finished we would love to see your face in the Shades of Strong Facebook Community where you can connect with other Black women and have open and honest discussions about things that concern us individually and collectively. This is a safe space where we can lean on each other in times of trouble and unrest, and dance with each other in times of celebration.

Sis, if you find that you're fighting to prove your love and worth to others, please consider joining us in the Sista Circle of Healing, so that you can start your journey to healing. The next cohort starts November 9th.
