The Generation Why Podcast
Zach Witman – 143 – Generation Why
Zach Witman. October 2nd, 1998. A 13 year-old arrives home after school and is ambushed just after getting through the front door. He would be attacked with a knife and stabbed more than sixty times. His older brother, home sick that day, would call for help within minutes of the attack and report finding his brother's body. He stated that he had gone to investigate after hearing what sounded like roughhousing downstairs. It would not take long before he would become the prime suspect in his brother's murder. Friends and family would dispute this possibility. They would state that 15 year-old Zach loved his younger brother Greg and that he would never do something like this to him. Physical evidence would be discovered buried in the backyard. Athletic gloves and a bloody knife. This seemed to seal the case against him. Did one brother kill another? Or could there have been an intruder who was responsible?
