The Murder Of Hae Min Lee – 134 – Generation Why

July 26, 2015

The Murder Of Hae Min Lee. January 13, 1999. 18 year-old Hae Min Lee disappears after school. She was to have picked up her cousin from Kindergarten, as was her routine, but she never showed up. Less than a month later her body is discovered in nearby Leakin Park. The former Lacrosse standout had been murdered. Falling under suspicion would be her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, who she had broken up with the prior November. Confusing the case is the presence of a former classmate named Jay. He had borrowed Syed's car and, consequently, his cellphone on the day she disappeared. Would pings from different cell towers illuminate the truth in this case? Was Jay with Adnan during critical times? A second trial would end in a conviction, but was the verdict just? Special thanks to the Serial podcast & Sarah Koenig for bringing this case before the public.
