We start a new journey in Numbers. Below you will find an outline of each section of scripture. We believe a better understanding of Jesus will guide us on a path to give God glory in our everyday life. Join us on our Bible podcast journey.

1. Call of a disciple (Luke 9:23-25)

2. Cost of a disciple (Luke 14:25-33)

Dietrich Bonhoeffer quote: “Those who follow Jesus’ commandment entirely, who let Jesus’ yoke rest on them without resistance, will find the burden they must bear to be light. In the gentle pressure of this yoke they will receive the strength to walk the right path without becoming weary…Where will the call to discipleship lead those who follow it? What decisions and painful separations will it entail? We must take this question to him who alone knows the answer. Only Jesus Christ, who bids us follow him, knows where the path will lead. But we know that it will be a path full of mercy beyond measure. Discipleship is joy.”

3. Life of a disciple (Luke 14:34-35)

A.W. Tozer said, "In every Christian's heart there is a cross and a throne, and the Christian is on the throne till he puts himself on the cross; if he refuses the cross, he remains on the throne. Perhaps this is at the bottom of the backsliding and worldliness among gospel believers today. We want to be saved, but we insist that Christ do all the dying. No cross for us, no dethronement, no dying. We remain king within the little kingdom of Man's soul and wear our tinsel crown with all the pride of a Caesar; but we doom ourselves to shadows and weakness and spiritual sterility".

Titus 2:4 — Older women are to train younger women.

Second Timothy 2:2 — Paul trained Timothy to train others; to train others; to train others.

Ephesians 6:4 — Fathers are to train their children.

Matthew 28:20 — Missionaries are to teach the nations everything Jesus commanded.

Hebrews 3:13 — All Christians are to exhort each other every day to avoid sin and to stir each other up to love and good works (see also Hebrews 10:24–25).

First Peter 4:10 — All Christians are to use their gifts to serve others.

Acts 18:24–26 — Priscilla and Aquila, on the spur of the moment it seems, explained the way of God more accurately to Apollos.
