Use Curiosity to Understand Difficult People
If you have someone difficult in your life, and you would like to understand them so that things can go better, curiosity can help. We all approach other people with our own thoughts, culture, biases, and experiences. Those are like lenses through which we see the world. If we become aware of these biases and assumptions we hold, we are able to also get curious about the thoughts others have and understand that they come from entirely different assumptions. In today's podcast, we'll explore getting curious to connect better with people we consider to be "challenging" or "difficult."
