Jami Rodman, ex-prostitute

September 21, 2015

Jami Rodman grew up religious in small-town Oregon. She couldn't cut her hair. She couldn't watch TV. No music. And certainly no sex images. But whenever she saw a friend's Playboy, or online porn, it stirred her. So in her early 20s, she moved to Vegas, where she cocktailed, stripped, escorted, then became a madam. After a decade in sex work, she went out of business after being outed by SmokingGun.com. She sat with me in a Paris hotel convention hall, and I asked her all the relevant questions. How do prostitutes have sex with people they're unattracted to? How many voluntary sex workers enjoy their careers? And does she think I know any women who secretly prostitute themselves in the city of new beginnings? Her book, coming out in December, is available for pre-sale on Amazon. It's called, "The Las Vegas Madam."
