Show Notes
Welcome everyone to the June 6th edition of Dead Reckoning Radio! I am your host, Jay Friesen joined around the table by Hadley Heath Manning and Dr. Brian G. Mattson. DR Radio is where we discuss the latest in cultural topics from a distinctly Christian worldview.
A lot has happened since we were last on the air. Some worth talking about, other’s not so much. So today we have a pile of quick takes, and for our main segments we’ll be diving into the fallout from Trump’s rejection of the Paris Accord and continued trouble brewing at American Universities this time sparked by cries of racism, continued mob rule at Evergreen University in Washington. As usual, we’ll be taking a couple breaks to hear from our sponsor, followed by games of wit and whimsy, with today’s selections being: Nerd v. Nerd and in honor of today marking the 73rd anniversary of D-Day, a game of Who Am I? The WWII Edition.
We do want to thank today’s sponsor: Alliance Defending Freedom- Defending your right to freely live out your faith! You can find out more at www.adflegal.org. We’ll be hearing more from them at the break.
Let’s dive right in to the good stuff:
Quick Takes

* Wonder Woman! The new DC Comics film Wonder Woman topped the box office this weekend. There was lots of controversy pre-release, as feminists sort of claimed the movie their own private property and scheduled a “girls only” screening. All publicity is good publicity, we guess. But is the movie any good?
* Reality Winner! Well, at least reality wins. Every time. That’s what 25-year-old woman named Reality Winner discovered when she was arrested by the FBI for disclosing a classified document to a news organization. She is the first person to be arrested for leaking to the media during the Trump Administration. Reports are that she confessed, and it’s a slam dunk case.
* ISIS Gains in Philippines – Over a hundred Christians have been killed as ISIS militants have gained a stranglehold on an island in the Philippines. The government has been bombing the island, prompting a local priest to beg a ceasefire because of civilian casualties. Just what we want: ISIS spreading. Right?
* London – Speaking of ISIS, more terrorist attacks, this time in London just before major elections are held. Difficult to say whether this helps Prime Minister Theresa May or her opponent, Jeremy Corbyn.
