Episode 108 | Nicole Brewer From I Luv 2 Globe Trot
Her friends' who were at the time living and teaching in Japan sparked her curiosity. Hearing about their lives abroad fueled her to commit to taking the leap. She utilized social media to connect with other people of color living abroad.
She shared with us what it’s as a Black woman living in the Middle East. To her surprised many of the Omani's looked just like her and called her sister. She says she has fallen in love with the country.
Nicole and her business partner created the I Luv 2 Globe Trot Facebook community 7 years ago to give people a space to connect and ask questions about travel and the living abroad process.
The group has since grown to approximately 9,000 members. Her and her business partner share their experiences and their resources on the blog and in the group to encourage and support others.
In this episode you'll be inspired by the following:
1. The experiences of travel allow you to learn more about yourself and the world around you.
2. The best way to get over fear is to just do it.
3. Living abroad enhances your self-sufficiency ten folds.
