Several years ago there was a song, how can you heal a broken heart, it didn’t really offer any answers, but it is a question that many of us have asked, how do we heal a broken heart, can we heal one.
How does God respond to a broken heart? What should I do when I have a broken heart? Does any good come from having a Broken Heart? How can I help someone else who has a broken heart?
How does God respond to a broken heart, does He really care how I feel, how I react to my troubles?
Matthew 5:4 – He offers comfort to those in his presence .  “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
What should I do when I have a broken heart?
Step one – pray for solace Psalm 130:1 “Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord.”
Step two – remember, this too shall pass Ecclesiastes 3:4 “A time to weep and a time to laugh;  a time to mourn and a time to dance. “  there’s a time for everything
Step three – talk it out Acts 20:37, Paul was saying to goodby to Ephesus, and he recalled all the things he had gone through with the people and how far they had come and how much he cared for them, “In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”  When he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all. And they began to weep aloud and embraced Paul, and repeatedly kissed him, “
Does any good come from having a Broken Heart?
Being broken hearted can lead to healing and a better life Psalm 30:11 – “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,”
How can I help someone else who has a broken heart?
Empathize with them show understanding Romans 12:15 “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”
Be careful what you say Job 16:2 “I have heard many such things; Sorry comforters are you all.” make sure you don’t misplace blame
