Keeping Hope Alive

July 12, 2019

Where does Hope come from? Personally, I believe it comes from God. After all, He is the one who has given me life and as long as I live, I can hope.

For centuries, people have held out hope the God will intervene in their lives. We read in Psalm 39:7 –“And now, Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.”But, how can we keep hoping when God never seems to act?Romans 8:24-25 “or in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.” But what can I do when things seem hopeless? Pray and Never give up continue to worship Acts 16:24-25 “and he, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them;” As the book of Acts tells us they were released from their chains and their guards became belivers. So what they really did, they put God first and foremost in the book of Haggai chapter 1 verse 9 “You look for much, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away. Why?” declares the Lord of hosts, “Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house.”

We need to put God first in our lives, and that will help us keep hope alive.
