Carnival of Randomness

Episode 46 - Old Comic Serials

August 19, 2019

Hello Randomers and Randomites.

Did you ever have a plan that was set in stone until you got to where you were going? Well sometimes it happens, and you just have to roll with out. Our pal Greg Andrews from The Brian Lindsay Band stopped by and our initial plan was to talk comic books from the 1980s. However, when he arrived at our secret location, he mentioned that he was a big fan of the old comic serials from the 1940s and 1950s. So, in typical Carnival style, we switched it up on the fly. So here we go. We talk the old school comic serials, the predecessors of the comic movies we have now and delve a bit into the Batman TV series from the 1960s, with the immortal Adam West. It was a good talk, so sometimes switching things up can be a good thing.

Stay tuned after the podcast for some music from another new friend of The Carnival, Nikki Hill. From her new album "Feline Roots" we are proud to present "Get Down, Crawl". Find her and show her some love and support and keep an eye out for more local shows from The Brian Lindsay Band!
