The Future is Small

May 21, 2015

Following on the theme of Value Investing, which has gripped recent episodes of the Brewin Podcast, Guy Foster, Head of Research, speaks with Miton’s UK Multi-Cap Income star fund manager, and winner of the 2014 What Investment Fund Manager of the Year Award, Gervais Williams.

In a low growth environment globally, with China continuing to slow and other large economies aspiring to stem (and even reverse) the pace of debt accumulation, it will become increasingly challenging for larger companies to deliver superior earnings growth. Gervais believes, however, that smaller companies, where there is the flexibility to adapt faster and to implement innovation, are well placed to outperform.

These factors, and much more, are highlighted in Gervais’s recently authored book The Future is Small.
