In this episode Dr. Tara Rasta shares her experience & knolwdge about the current state of Iran and some of the events that have led to widespread protests in iran against the Islamic regime. She explains the history behind the famous slogan “women, life, freedom” and describes the life of a typical Iranian woman under the Islamic regime. She asks all people around the globe to be a voice for the Iranian people and help them gain basic human rights. She speaks of the importance of protecting freedom and democracy, and the the role of gen Z in sparking this unrest, as Iranians enter their 6th week of being on the streets and fighting for their freedom. Currently there are many students and women who have been killed, most under the age of 18, simply because they were protesting for their fundamental human rights.
