A Thread of Evidence – America Out Loud News

While most of us are familiar with the word “stalking,” there are a lot of myths and misconceptions about what it is and who it affects. It’s surprisingly common; 7.5 million Americans, 75% of them women, are subjected to unwanted or repeated surveillance by another person each year. It can be dangerous; more than half of the women who are murdered in the Unites States had reported being stalked prior to their death. And it can be hard to prosecute. This show takes a look at the various forms of stalking, the psychology of the perpetrator, the perspective of the victim, and the challenges facing law enforcement and victims as they try to get this very serious problem resolved.
