A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984) – A Perspective Review

September 08, 2022

The act of dreaming is an important part of our sleeping habits. Dreams are thought of as the brain’s way of helping us decompress from the days trials and tribulations. But not all sleep is restful. Sometimes dreams have a nasty habit of going bad. Transforming into nightmares.
If dreams are just movies in our mind, made from a patchwork of memories and feelings swirling in our subconscious, then nightmares are just mental horror films created from life’s stresses, with a heaping helping of fear and anger mixed in. Sure, they may be awful at the time, but once we wake up, the terror is over. That is IF we wake up.
For a generation of horror movie goers, nightmares had a burnt face, a dirty red and green sweater and a gloved hand with four razor sharp blades. Brew a pot of coffee, grab a bottle of No-Doze and whatever you do, DON’T FALL ASLEEP as 2GuysTalkingHorror brings you the Perspective Review of 1984’s A Nightmare On Elm Street!
